"Hook up with us on the Kenai Peninsula!"
...to Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula, home to world-class salmon and halibut fishing.
My name is Jim Wilson...
I'm a full-time professional guide making my home on the banks of the Kenai River. I have
fished the rivers and saltwater of southcentral Alaska since 1975 and guarantee "It
doesn't get any better than this."
Kenai River King Salmon
(May - July)
On May 17, 1985, the Kenai River produced the world's largest king salmon caught on sport
tackle (97 lbs. 4 oz.) ... and a 100-pounder is overdue!
The Kenai offers two king runs...
beginning in early May and extending through July 31. Depending on water conditions, we
"back-troll" or drift for these trophy fish in twenty-foot aluminum powerboats.
And, because the Kenai is our back yard, we know the hot spots ... from tidewater to the
river's farthest reaches - 50 miles of clear, flowing water and scenic beauty. Your
Alaskan fishing adventure would be incomplete without a day on the Kenai!
72 Pound King Salmon !
100 Pound Halibut !
King Salmon and
( King Salmon: May & June - Halibut: May-September )
Troll the coastal waters of Cook Inlet for king salmon in a
fully-equipped, Coast Guard approved fishing vessel. Enjoy a spectacular
view of the Alaska Range and abundant wildlife as you wait to hook up
with the world's hardest fighting sportfish. These bright silver Cook
Inlet Kings average thirty pounds, with many reaching 50 pounds or more.
Chase The Monsters...
Then, run to deep water in pursuit of Pacific halibut, the best eating
fish anywhere. These powerful flatfish provide non-stop fishing action,
with catches averaging 20-50 pounds, and the occasional monster
exceeding one hundred, or even two hundred pounds.
Successful Halibut Seasons...
Our guests have experienced near 100% halibut limits during the past
twenty-eight fishing seasons and we look forward to the same success
during your halibut "expedition."
(August - September)
These bright, aggressive fighters will attack your lure and provide
excitement with every jump and run. Kenai silvers enter the river in early
August and are available through September, with fish ranging between eight
and eighteen pounds. And, pink salmon are also available and abundant
in even-numbered years. It's a must for the spincaster ... fast-paced,
challenging and rewarding.
Or, enjoy the scenic beauty of Seward as you
troll for silver salmon along the shoreline of Resurrection Bay, often in
the company of sea lions and killer whales. It's more great fishing
... all during Alaska's beautiful late summer and fall.
